Provides support to the G1 and ADMIN Officer following a regular pattern of duties and guidelines in the form of established rules, regulation, policies and procedures in support of civilian and military personnel assigned to the unit. Performs a wide variety of administration such as preparation and processing of military personnel evaluations, awards, prepares travel orders and temporary change of station, civilian personnel records SF52s for the unit. Processes appropriate documentation to
support military and civilian personnel requirements and reviews same for accuracy. Prepares and monitors requests for promotions and arranges for promotion ceremony, to include promotion declinations, reconsideration for promotions, and arrange for reduction and removal boards for Soldiers on local promotion standing lists. Processes centralized and decentralized promotions and reduction actions. Prepares and monitors requests for reductions, transfers, and discharges. Prepares and monitors requests for identification cards and tags, leaves, and passes, line of duty determination, MILPER data and information management, orders for temporary duty and travel, personnel processing, personnel security clearances, training and reassignment, military and special pay programs, personnel accounting and strength management, transition processing, and unit administration. Performs a variety of clerical duties including but not limited to making copies, monitoring proper copier usage, requesting telephone service, etc. makes personal and telephonic contacts to obtain or disseminate information regarding activities to other units and directorates. Maintains files using the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS). Files correspondence and retrieves information as required. Contacts are with a wide variety of personnel throughout the theater and with DFAS. Contacts are made for the purpose of exchanging information and solving problems.
