We are looking for an Application Architect to support an essential modernization program. We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our team to modernize a legacy system into a cloud-based solutions with a holistic shared services solution. This role requires an energetic individual who wants to enhance their professional career in a fast-paced federal environment.   The Application Architect is responsible for the working with other architects and product owners to design and support the application for the customer.  The Application Architect will provide support for proposals, change requests and other new opportunities.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Lead design sessions with the application leads and product owners
  • Provide technical grooming of User Stories to create design flows and provide design direction for RESTful microservice application
  • Support Scrum teams by resolving architecture/design issue/questions
  • Stay abreast of new technology and evaluate for potential inclusion into program solution


  • BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software)
  • 3+ years of work experience as a lead developer or application architect
  • Experience with Design and Architecture Patterns
  • Experience architecting or assisting in design of a ReSTful microservices solution
  • Experience with systems architecture design/documentation tools such as draw.io/diagrams.net
  • Experience creating design/architecture documentation
  • Experience with Agile development methods and tools
  • Experience working with OpenAPI/Swagger and Confluence
  • Software Architecture Certifications beneficial
  • Have an existing or the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation
