GDIT is seeking a Systems Engineer to support existing and new programs. The successful candidate will support the customer with analysis, design, education and training with respect to their C4I systems architecture. An understanding of functional operations and customer mission is preferred.
Task associated with this position include:
Performs complex systems development and analysis work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design and analog or digital systems engineering.
Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems and assists the customers user base to do same.
Provides specialized training and technical guidance to users and leadership for systems, software applications and equipment.
Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
Plan, coordinate and manage engineering projects.
Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project.
Liaises with service providers, project management offices and other agencies.
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of related systems engineering experience.
Requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) certification.
Must be willing to obtain & maintain a CI polygraph.
Extensive knowledge of the GCCS family of systems is required.
Knowledge of one or more other C4I systems is preferred: MIDB, GALE, DCGS-A, DCGS-N, Radiant Mercury, JCDX, JTT.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical training; or work/military experience.
