At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Mission Software Quality Assurance Specialist supporting the customer, you will be trusted analyze internal and external customer needs.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Conducting assessments/audits and providing recommendations and support to ensure the customer’s web pages and applications are compliant with all required government standards.
  • Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
  • Develop and document internal processes for web design, development, and testing to ensure compliance with Section 508 requirements and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  • Conduct in-depth Section 508/WCAG compliance assessments via manual reviews and using automated test tools and assistive technologies.
  • Compile reports concerning failures in Section 508/WCAG compliance and ways to remediate.
  • Review Section 508/WCAG compliance defects with developers and discuss possible resolutions.
  • Monitor resolution of Section 508/WCAG compliance violations.
  • Provide expert advice to other teams testing web pages and applications for Section 508/WCAG compliance.
  • Assist project teams with understanding how Section 508 and accessibility activities fit within the project life cycle.
  • Partner with project leads and requirements analysts to help them appropriately document and deliver against requirements for Section 508/WCAG compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Section 508/WCAG testing and automated tool information.
  • Provide consultative support across the team for Section 508/WCAG compliance information.
  • Team player and a self-starter.
  • Provides unit testing in the development environment in order to create test cases.
  • Experience with System Integration & Regression testing.
  • Experience using Windows, FireFox, IE, MS Office, and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development best practices.
  • Design and implement advanced testing plans for IT related products and services
  • Identify test procedures and scenarios for the quality control of IT products and services
  • Provide cross functional support to help resolve defects and errors of IT products
  • Assesses performance of IT products and services to ensure they meet established quality standards
  • Collect and communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to various IT teams
  • Resolve complex product issues and track progress
  • Identify areas for improvement to enhance product efficiency
  • Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and trends in IT quality assurance. Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced personnel
  • May serve as a team or task leader (Not a people manager)
  • Recognized as an emerging subject matter expert

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of  years related experience.
  • Experience with Katalon, Jenkins, SonarQube and other automated testing frameworks as well as knowledge and/or experience using or developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines.
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
