Our work depends on an Java Developer joining our team to support New York State of Health (NYSoH) to provide comprehensive health coverage to more than 4.5 million New Yorkers through its Health Benefit Exchange (HBE) at our Rensselaer NY Data Center office.

  • You will be challenged and provided an opportunity for growth in a customer facing, fast paced, environment supporting a high-volume, large-scale Java/J2EE application stack software using development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology practices.
  • You will get the opportunity to deliver projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, and coding.
  • You will get a chance to exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints.
  • You will learn the Health Exchange business and operations to deliver the appropriate solutions.
  • You will develop front end applications using Angular 4+
  • You will develop back end applications using Spring/REST
  • You will write appropriate unit tests for code developed


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of Java
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming, SQL and Relational databases
  • Strong analytics, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to work individually and in a team setting
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and task priorities
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
