General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) a leading provider of systems engineering, integration, IT service operations and support solutions, is seeking talented professionals to deliver valuable services and solutions to our customers.  GDIT has a great team consisting of experienced and knowledgeable managers who lead and support the career development objectives of our employees.  Our employees consider the company to be a solid partner in their career, with an abundance of opportunities for advancement.The United States Refugee Program (USRAP) Business Advocates work closely with Resettlement Support Centers (RSCs), PRM, Refugee Operations at the Refugee Processing Center and other external stakeholders to support development of the START and to maintain the Worldwide Refugee Admissions Processing System (WRAPS). WRAPS is a web-based case management system and reporting tool that assists in managing refugee processing activities. RSC Business Advocates ensure they work within and across collaborative environments both internally and externally to train users and to document stakeholder policy, procedures, processes and needs.Responsibilities:
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Refugee Processing
  • Document requirements, process models and other artifacts to be used in development of START. Prepare trainings on START and map to processing in the Worldwide Refugee Admissions Processing System (WRAPS). WRAPS is a web-based case management system and reporting tool that assists in managing refugee processing activities.
  • Lead trainings, presentations, elicitation sessions, conferences calls, webinars and other tools and technologies to gather and disseminate information with domestic and international partners
  • Add to Product Backlogs and communicate user needs to multiple stakeholders
  • Coordinate and facilitate exchange meetings to determine needs of customers; as well as to determine the impact of changes
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems
  • Support the collection and reporting of requirements related metrics
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Travel required to deploy START application and maintain user expertise.
  • Requires Secret Clearance
