Lead Scrum Master

GDIT is looking for an experienced Lead Scrum Master to join our team to support cloud requirements, cloud migration and deployment of new requirements to the AWS Cloud environment for our federal customers. We are an Amazon Managed Service Partner (MSP) providing full-scope cloud engineering, operations, and development services to multiple government and commercial customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, track, and manage Agile/DevSecOps projects for a variety of simultaneous initiatives
  • Perform as Scrum Master, document and track project changes, risks, and issues through resolution
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to identify and document business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Develop/groom user stories, support grooming sessions, monitor tasks, lead Sprint ceremonies
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (users, developers, product managers), in both Build and Delivery functionalities and, breaking down complex problems into understandable and iterative solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • U. S. Citizen and/or Green Card holder
  • Ability to secure a Public Trust clearance
  • Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)
  • 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional agile development teams using agile frameworks or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with Agile and DevSecOps project methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage cross-team relationships to deliver a product.
  • Proficiency in software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Experience with allocating team resources, managing deliverable schedules, resolving risks and issues, and reporting status internally and externally.
  • Experience supporting the team’s efforts to continuously improve communications and relationships with other teams
  • Ability to multi‐task and effectively prioritize competing requirements

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Familiarity with agile tools, Rally, etc., to capture and manage user requirements
  • Experience with DevSecOps principles including: Continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD), Amazon Web Services environment, Agile Development environments
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (users, developers, product managers), in both Build and Delivery functionalities and, breaking down complex problems into understandable and iterative solutions.
  • Self‐starter who can quickly acclimate to a fast‐paced environment.
