The Multimedia Designer will, design and develop multimedia content to support customer objectives. This includes but is not limited to assisting in the development of training products to support customer applications, systems and products.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Collaboration with operators, subject matter experts, and other Special Warfare Technology Integration Support Center (SW TISC) technical and government staff
Development of relevant multimedia products to deliver computer and web-based products, in a variety of multimedia formats to support both classroom and web-based delivery to the target audience
Development and integration of graphics, animation, text, and sound, into SW TISC training materials, providing embedded voice-over delivery of training lectures, as required
Development of proposals for technology insertion opportunities and capabilities to better fulfill user experience
Support rapid response training development for critical situations when requested by the Government
At least 3 years’ experience working with multimedia development with emphasis on graphics, illustrations, podcasts, iBooks and interactive media development and web-based delivery
Must have experience working with Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe Premiere, or experience with open source alternatives such as GIMP, Inkscape, and others
Expertise in web design best practices, including ability to implement visual designs optimization across multiple platforms
Experience in image and multimedia editing to include audio recording
Experience in 3-D modeling is desired
Must exhibit strong attention to detail and communications skills, able to work well with others and deliver products that require little to no re-work.
Must be comfortable working under timelines and comfortable working with multi-disciplined personnel to understand requirements
Able to move beyond comfort zone to learn new technologies
Knowledge and experience of Information Technology and/or Command & Control concepts, practices and methodologies is also desired
Web Site design and styling experience is also highly desired
Familiarity with Instructional Systems Design (IDS) models is desired
Technical writing experience is desired
Formal courseware development experience is desired
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience
5 years of related experience
The work is performed in an office environment
Possible short term TDYs to meet with users
Must be able to obtain a passport for OCONUS travel, if required
Secret Clearance required to start
