The Software Test Engineer would be creating processes and procedures to ensure the resulting deliverables to the government meet all quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating best practices for quality programs in an Agile development environment. In addition, the Test Engineer will support quality control approaches including tools for automated testing, test plan creation, test plan implementation and a metric-based quantitative approach to monitoring the production of government deliverables.
This position allows the opportunity to work REMOTE from home during COVID pandemic restrictions. Once it is safe to return to work, and restrictions are lifted, this position will work 100% onsite at the Fairfax, VA location.
In this role, a typical day would include:
Reviewing business requirements and technical design documents
Creating QA documents (Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases/Results), based on SDLC best practices
Executing manual Test Cases
Creating and executing automated Test Scripts
QA bug fixes and defect resolution, as needed
Attending status meetings, team meetings, etc.
Preparing status reports (task progress, test execution)
Monitoring progress of multiple project team QA efforts, taking corrective action where needed, and report status
Bachelors degree in a related area, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
3+ years of experience in the field
Active secret clearance
Experience in the healthcare industry
Security + certification
3+ years of experience developing and executing application software test strategies, test plans and test cases, and leading small test teams
3+ years of experience in automated testing tools and QA management tools
3+ years of experience in load testing methodologies
Experience in VA (Vista) or DoD electronic health records
Healthcare application development experience is a plus
Experience with SDLC/testing methodologies and how to apply them
Ability to manage the SDLC/testing processes for an Agile team/project
Experience in managing/coordinating QA processes across multiple project teams
Experienced in Agile Development Project or Projects
Tools: TestRail, RWEB, Jira, VMWare
