Job Description

Cloud Integration Architect

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a hands-on Cloud Integration Architect, you will lead the architecture for a program requiring seamless systems integration, operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure, data and platforms for a State government customer.  This position will be responsible for the integration of a cloud-based enterprise service bus with centralized services and cloud-based application modules from various vendors, both external and internal to the State agency.

The scope of the program includes systems modernization, managed services, process development for cloud services provisioning, data integration across modules, and enhancing cloud capabilities to solve mission problems.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Serves as the senior hands-on SME for architecting and delivering cloud hosting solutions.
  • Provides senior expertise in the areas of  Mulesoft and data integration
  • Provides recommendations to optimize cloud usage costs by analyzing usage patterns and trends.
  • Maintains an understanding of advancing cloud capabilities, IT, and business needs, while identifying and proposing cost and functional efficiency options.
  • Creates and maintains a roadmap of enhancements according to the customer’s decisions and directions.
  • Provides expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, continuity of operations, contingency planning, and automated provisioning.
  • Leads annual architecture reviews and develops  critical design recommendations.
  • Continuously analyzes, researches, identifies, and recommends the most effective and efficient application of technology to meet mission requirements.  
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and partners with the client in determining future architectural directions.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or other related field
  • Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent certification from a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or Google.  ● Required Experience:
  • 10+ years of related experience including 8+ years of systems engineering experience.
  • 5+ years cloud solutions delivery using well-architected cloud frameworks, services, and technologies.
  • Full SDLC experience working in waterfall and agile environments
  • Expertise in developing, maintaining, and contributing to technical and process documentation.
  • Experience and working knowledge of data modeling and data governance
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently while serving as an integral member of the team.

● Preferred:

  • 2+ years working within a development team, delivering cloud services & solutions, and provisioning/automating infrastructure, services, and enterprise management tools.  
  • 2+ years of health care claims experience and data knowledge in such an environment
  • 2+ years of Mulesoft experience
  • 2+ years of Calibra experience
  • 2+ year of Azure experience
  • Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification preferred but not required.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $168,000 - $252,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
