Our work depends on a Data Analyst joining our team to support Customer activities at Herndon, VA.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Data Analyst, you will be trusted to work on Data sets, movement and curation . In this role, a typical day will include:

  • The Data Analyst acquires, controls, and catalogs large scale, complex datasets for our customers mission.
  • The position requires a highly detail-oriented individual who understands the complexities of data movement and curation.
  • The Data Advisor will also be responsible for analyzing the customers current dataset catalog and repository to identify gaps that will then drive additional targeted dataset acquisitions as appropriate.
  • Experience designing and developing complex data mappings, sessions, workflows and identify areas of optimizations.
  • Experience translating technical information into clear, readable documents and presentations to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience data sourcing, data integration and data quality projects.
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Contributes to the completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
  • Analyzes organizational data and conducts advanced statistical analysis.
  • Applies mathematical calculations to recommend solutions to technical problems of high complexity.
  • Models and evaluates the potential impact of data changes.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Develops innovative strategies and quantifies the competitive performance of the organizations operations and/or markets.
  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
  • May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)
