At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Analyst, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Maintaining good communication with the team
  • Logistics team will interact daily with the Customer’s most senior leadership in a variety of high visibility roles supporting a broad range of unique requirements, to include executive travel
  • Logistics team is comprised of 12 staff officers and contractors, including four independent contractors at Joint Base Andrews as part of a joint program to manage all military airlift requirements for the Customer
  • Logistics team is a high performing team that supports a fast paced, demanding Customer base
  • Key to this position will be exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, along with strong verbal and written communication, to be able to interact in person, via email and phone with the most senior staff in the Agency
  • Must be able to work independently and responsibly with limited oversight, serving as an integral part of a high performing team
  • Core office hours are between 0700-1600, with the expectation that a minimum of 8 hours of work are performed during this period.  Overtime, weekend, and holiday work is readily available if desired.  There may be the odd occasion where afterhours, weekend or holiday work is necessary and expected to meet office requirements, although this is rare
  • The position is an active one (approximately 50% of time away from the desk), with tasks that will require long periods of time on the feet potentially moving and lifting material
  • Travel to other buildings and locations within the WMA will sometimes be required, on average, this would occur a couple of times a week. GOV use for local travel would be necessary
  • Must be able to actively demonstrate workplace behaviors that nurture an inclusive work environment and value diversity of thought
  • With minimal guidance, gather and validate Customer requirements and submit material procurements for processing via Genesis, ASCENT and internal vendors
  • Research items for procurement and work with internal and external sources to provide cost estimates and design drafts and keep Customers updated during the process.  Comprehend and apply processes, policies, and regulations against requirements
  • With minimal guidance, will be required to submit and track requests for chauffeur services and vehicles according to Customer requirements
  • Required to schedule drivers and cargo trucks to transport material for executive travel requirements

  • With minimal guidance submit and track shipments, to include creating shipping orders in Hammerhead and printing labels.  Prepare material for shipment to include safe handling and packaging for shipment in accordance with Customer standards
  • Accept deliveries for the office and assist with loading, unloading and storage of materials.  This includes the handling of cargo and equipment for executive travel
  • Serve as a Responsible Officer for accountable property.  Assist the Accountable Officer when needed in creating new assets, accepting asset transfers, and creating transfers to other component CIC/CMRs
  • Participate in property inventories and take action to update assets with expiring inventory dates.  Physically track down missing items and assist in reconciling all discrepant assets
  • Responsible for collecting the monthly vehicle mileage and entering the data into Genesis
  • With minimal guidance gather Customer requirements for office moves and facilities maintenance, submit material move requests as well as facilities maintenance requests to internal service providers
  • Required to assist with office moves, to include delivering packing materials, moving boxes, and relocating furniture
  • Make sure the office vehicle maintenance is up to date by ensuring proper tire pressure is maintained, and adding fluids and gas as needed
  • Track and schedule vehicle maintenance with automotive mechanics and commercial vehicle maintenance facilities.  Make sure any vehicle reservations are submitted in a timely manner.  Distribute parking permits and toll passes, if needed
  • With minimal guidance, maintain inventory of materials and consumable supplies used for day-to-day office use and executive travel.  Ensure that storage areas are kept in a clean and organized condition


  • HS Diploma
  • 4 years of experience
  • TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and 100 lbs. as a tandem lift
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office including basic proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as intermediate proficiency with Outlook
  • Must possess or can obtain basic proficiency in e-Supply, ASCENT, EARRS and must possess or can obtain intermediate proficiency in Genesis and Hammerhead
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
