Applicant will perform maintenance, repair and installation of various types of electronic equipment and related devices for Gunnery Maintenance Drivers Trainers
Receives technical guidance and tasking, as required, from supervisor or higher level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
Ensure maintenance logs and other required equipment documentation is complete and accurate.
Responsible for analyzing equipment failures and troubleshooting electronic systems.
Apply data gained through the troubleshooting/repair process in preparing and revising maintenance instructions and procedures, and recommend/ implement manufacturer/engineering changes.
May train personnel on the identification, testing, installation, troubleshooting, operation and repair of the GMDT systems.
Test personnel trained to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.
Monitor assigned equipment status and corrects faults in a timely manner.
Repair and install various types of cables.
Develops project specifications to assist in determining design approach and parameters to move product/system to manufacture or implementation.
Assists in developing and defining quality standards in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
Assists in developing qualification test procedures and conducts qualification testing. Conducts testing and integration testing for functionality and limits. Examines new electronic components and circuits. Prepares reports of results and conclusions.
Creates basic prototypes for beta testing and for customer demonstration
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Seven or more years of electronics experience
Experience working with electrical theories, design principles and practices and design evaluation techniques
Experience working with company electronic design procedures
Experience working with personal computers and related software applications
Experience working with test lab equipment and its use
Minimum two (2) years experience in maintenance and repair of complex electronics systems, with one (1) year of digital equipment maintenance experience, including working knowledge of computer systems, data processing systems.
Possess a valid driver's license, maintain military installation driving privileges.
Must be able to obtain a US Army issued CAC (Common Access Card) and possess a Secret security clearance.
Experience in maintenance of associated TESS devices.
Installation/maintenance of MILES equipment with proven experience to install, bore sight, troubleshoot
Must be fluent in English, with ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams.
Ability to apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents.
Familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend US Army Technical and Field Manuals.
