The APHC’s mission is to promote health and prevent disease, injury, and disability of Soldiers and military retirees, their families, and the Department of the Army civilian employees; and assure effective execution of full spectrum veterinary service for Army and Department of Defense Veterinary missions.    

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Providing substantive management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual and multi-year fiscal planning, funding limitations/ceilings; rulings and legalities
  • Developing, monitoring and making recommendations for improvements to directorate and division work plans, spending plans, and budgets in excess of $6 million
  • Bringing attention to funding problems such as decrements/shortfalls and recommends alternatives/solutions
  • Formulating and presenting organizational budget submissions used for command financial reports, presentations, and assessments (40%)
  • Serving as Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW)’s Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator; as such gathers and analyzes program data to ensure the avoidance of fraud, waste and abuse via the travel claims
  • Reviewing all travel documents for accuracy, completeness, mission criticality, fund availability, and Director approval for travel
  • Monitoring progress of customer travel order close-outs to ensure timely and accurate processing and finalization
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for minor equipment and supply procurement, and Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS)
  • Preparing all purchase documents
  • Serving as the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) point of contact for the Directorate, responsible for creating and maintaining all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Elements for the Directorate
  • Acting as the ATAAPS Timekeeper, reviewing timecards and assuring compliance with regulation and local policy (20%)
  • Providing advice and assistance to all levels of management concerning the determination of required annual training needs/requirements and sources of training.
  • Disseminating training information throughout the Directorate
  • Tracking training compliance, maintains compliance documentation, and documents compliance in DTMS (10%)
  • Performing complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of a contract program

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in related field
  • 2+ years' experience in related field   
  • NACI (T1)
