In the role of a Senior Subcontracts Administrator, a typical day would include:

  • Proposal Support which include, but not limited to develops, negotiates and administers assigned NDAs, TAs, Subcontracts, and other related agreements in accordance with proposal/client requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in the capture process which includes pricing and scheduling strategy, generating subcontractor or teammate data calls and subcontract RFP packages, assessing the responses received, and coordinating communications between proposal stakeholders.  
  • Conducts negotiations to obtain fair and reasonable pricing with assistance from management and input from relevant stakeholders. 
  • Creates and maintains compliant audit files in accordance with customer requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  • Participates in proposal meetings to report on subcontractor deliverables and activities
  • Provides advice and interpretation of Customer RFP, proposal and subcontract requirements and generates reports for stakeholders, as required.
  • Serves as a liaison facilitator between the Business Development/Capture team and the subcontractors on proposal activities, escalating potential issues to management
  • Serves as a liaison facilitator between the program team and the subcontractors regarding subcontracting/teaming issues, escalating potential issues to management
  • Coordinates with capture managers and all matrixed organizations to ensure subcontract proposal requirements are fulfilled.

  • Coordinates with pricing on the development of a subcontractor price analysis and obtains any other subcontractor deliverables required to support cost volumes
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced subcontract administrators.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant subcontract procedures and practices and may provide guidance and/or task leadership to less-experienced subcontract administrators
  • Initiates and maintains an extensive network of communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Participates in and/or manages special projects, as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-8 years of related experience in contracts administration.
  • Requires working on site as needed.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in subcontract administration and proposal.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned subcontracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft suite including word and excel.
  • Effective administrative and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate and negotiate independently
  • Problem solving skills
  • Security clearance level – none (but must be eligible to obtain clearance)
