Systems Engineer Senior

Job Description

Systems Engineering/Cyber support to the Naval Combat Design Specification and Design Practice Criteria development for Naval Control Systems

Candidates must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering
• - Cybersecurity certifications such as CASP, CAP, Security+, or other applicable commercial cybersecurity certification
• - Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industrial control systems or marine system design, implementation or support.
• - Minimum 1 year experience with basic cybersecurity implementation in control systems.
• - Familiar with control system component functionality and modular design.
• - Knowledgeable of the network architecture components and industrial network protocols
• - Must have or able to acquire a Secret Security Clearance
• Ability and willingness to travel 
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience and/or knowledge of the following:
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Operating System
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Standard Operating System
  • Windows Registry and Local Group Policy Editor
  • Microsoft Office 2016/2019 Professional Plus Suite
  • Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Process
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Navy Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Navy Control Systems
  • Vulnerability scanning with Nessus
  • Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) scanning
  • Security Technical Implementations Guides (STIGs)
  • STIG Viewer
  • STIG Checklists
  • Adobe Acrobat 2017/2019 Professional
  • Java
  • Cisco network switches
  • Patching of operating systems and software listed above

Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.

May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
