GDIT is seeking a Strategic Communications Analyst support the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) in Portsmouth VA. The mission of the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center is to provide innovative and evidence-based health promotion and wellness educational resources and tools that facilitate readiness and resilience, prevent illness and injury, hasten recovery, and promote lifelong healthy behaviors and lifestyles. While our resources are intended for both Sailors and Marines, we understand that some information is unique and of particular relevance to the Marine Corps population. The resources below are intended to help Marines live healthier lives.
Critically review, independently edit, format and synthesize various types of input (verbal, notes, emails, drafts) into a cohesive document or correspondence in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual, Office Navy Message Traffic, and other format policies.
Communicate with customer commands as required to solicit information required to generate reports and analysis for operations support.
Maintain and update operational procedures as needed by procedural changes or process improvement.
Report status of all operations to command leadership through oral and written documentation.
Analyze operational performance on a weekly basis and provide recommendations for continuous process improvement.
Guide and enact the operational training program in accordance with command policies and guidance.
Manage day-to-day work flow
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Health, or related field.
MUST have solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint collaboration software.
Must have solid hands-on experience creating and editing spreadsheets and powerpoint presentations
Ability to conduct process improvement successors or workgroups
Experience in supporting strategic communications, planning, and change management.
Possess strong communications, writing, leadership, negotiating and collaboration skills.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance, Active Secret clearance HIGHLY preferred
Master’s degree or higher in Business, Health, or related field.
Experience with military technical documents including point papers, policies, and messages, and working in military environment preferred.
Experience with desktop publishing software (at least 3 years) and demonstrated ability to apply graphic elements of design and layout production to enhance presentation of documents, posters and other material.
Experience with metric support.
Experience working in a military environment.
Green Belt certification preferred.
Expert level experience with SharePoint.
Active Secret clearance HIGHLY preferred.
