Our team has a need for a SOC Cyber Analyst to investigate suspicious and potentially malicious activity within our customer's networks and systems.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Support day-to-day cybersecurity threat detection and incident response operations
  • Examine alerts generated by Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, perform triage, and determine the scope of the threat
  •  Use tools such as Fireye, Greylog, SolarWinds, and HBSS to monitor DoD networks
  • Compose security alert notifications
  • Advise leadership on steps to take to investigate and resolve computer security incidents
  •  Create and track investigations to resolution

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess Interim SECRET clearance
  • Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
  • Must have, or be able to get within 6 months of hire, relevant training for the computing environment in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M 
  • Must have 5 or more years of experience in the field of IT security monitoring and analysis, cyber threat analysis, and vulnerability analysis, with specific experience working with firewalls and/or intrusion detection systems
  • Must have experience using SIEM tools
  • Must have a strong understanding of security operations concepts (perimeter defense, data loss protection, kill chain analysis, risk assessment) as well as a strong understanding of IT operations (helpdesk support, endpoint management, and server management)
  • Must have hands-on experience managing IDS/IPS, firewall, VPN, HBSS, and/or other security products
