Job Description

General Experience:

  • Progressive IT experience (5 years) including at least two (2) projects related to ACAS or Windows system administration.
  • At least one (1) project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
  • A minimum of a SECRET clearance and IAT Level I Certification is required for this position.

Functional Responsibility:

The ACAS Administrator shall work under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.  Shall also develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.

Maintain Server 2012R2 SFTP servers, Server 2012R2 hypervisors and Windows 10 workstations to include:

  • apply patches
  • install software
  • apply STIGs

Maintain Tectia SFTP server software on Server 2012 R2 servers

Manage seven Nessus Security Centers to include:

  • add and remove users
  • update licenses
  • update plugins
  • enable and disable scanners
  • download ACAS plugins from DISA and apply to Security Centers
  • copy to SFTP servers
  • distribute to 180 ships scanners
  • occasionally use DoD SAFE to distribute to ships/installers
  • verify plugin download to ships via Remote Desktop Protocol
  • apply corrective actions to ships that don't have current plugins or are not scanning correctly
  • work with ship ACAS installers to resolve install issues
  • implement MSC AFLOAT ACAS SOP to get initial plugins installed
  • work with cybersecurity to get scans completed
  • edit Group Policy on ships Domain or Workstation, per MSC AFLOAT ACAS SOP
  • interact, via phone or email, with AFLOAT ISSMs to resolve ships scanner issues
  • email ships personnel to resolve scanner issues
  • maintain, download and update batch files on ships Maintain SFTP monitoring PowerShell script
  • Microsoft Server experience required
  • Windows desktop experience required
  • ACAS training required
