GDIT is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Advisor to assist in GDIT’s support the United States Air Forces in Europe-United States Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) service contract supporting operations, maintenance, and integration of USAFE-AFAFRICA ABAD initiatives. This contract provides the full spectrum of Air Base Air Defense capabilities for the USAFE-AFAFRICA area of responsibility (AOR). Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators

  • Shall oversee the implementation and maintenance all aspects of cybersecurity engineering support in accordance with all Federal, DoD, Component, and Agency-specific security initiatives, to include providing support for all phases of the Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) Program
  • Expertise in various security platforms including but not limited to: firewalls, intrusion detection systems, two-factor authentication systems, antivirus systems, secure email gateway appliances, web filtering proxy, data-loss prevention, vulnerability detection, content filtering and identity and access management.
  • Expertise in designing secure networks, systems and application architectures. Disaster recovery technologies and methods.
  • Planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures. System administration, supporting multiple platforms and applications. Automating security testing tools.
  • Track identified risks and exceptions, and manage to resolution via POAMs.
  • Requires strong analytic and problem solving capabilities and the ability to identify solutions and recommendations that effectively address business and control needs along with how to train and guide others in this area.
  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources; Strong communication / leadership skills.
  • Conducts regular assessments of site implementation of FISMA controls to support Continuous Monitoring.
  • Shall evaluate, identify, and implement innovative cybersecurity practices and tools to enable the Government to meet security standards with the greatest possible efficiency.
