Our work depends on a Chief Cybersecurity Engineer joining our team to support the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
The National Nuclear Security Administration IT Managed Services (NIMS) is an exciting program performing IT support for the Department of Energys organization responsible for enhancing national security through the application of nuclear science by maintaining and enhancing the safety, security, and effectiveness of the US nuclear weapons stockpile. This support is provided in several locations across the US giving employees great options for geographically diverse work locations. The primary goal of the program will be to support the NNSA Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in modernizing its IT and Cybersecurity Infrastructure and transforming current IT and Cybersecurity services to a managed service environment.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Chief Cybersecurity Engineer, you will provide support to the Program Manager for the full range of engineering support necessary to maintain the cyber defense systems to proactively identify, protect, and detect cyber threats.
Further responsibilities include:
Provide space mission assurance SME support during duty hours and while on-call.
Provide cyber incident response recommendations.
Analyze after action reports of cyber incidents, conduct trend analysis, and maintain
a database of events.
Review lessons learned, conduct root-cause analysis, and provide recommendations.
Define and track cyber defense and cybersecurity maturity levels.
Provide the status of cyber defense operations.
Measure cyber defense service performance.
Plan, pilot, and deploy improved space mission assurance capabilities.
Support the installation, integration, and system administration of space mission
Respond to system issues within specified timeframes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in a cyber related discipline
10 + years of relevant experience.
DOE Q, L, or TS clearance.
