The Database Analyst is responsible for designing, planning, implementing and administering databases including security, access and documentation.  Additionally, the candidate for this position:

  • Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
  • Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases
  • Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates, installs and administers database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management
  • Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods
  • Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation
  • Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
  • May serve as a team or task lead


  • Requirements:
    • BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience
    • Writing and modifying structured query language statements
    • Understanding of SQL performance and tuning in MySQL, Oracle and/or DB2 environments
    • Understanding of relational database modelling tools
    • Ability to understand and maintain data element dictionaries
    • MySQL preferred.
    • Understanding of ETL and APIs

  • Prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously and shift priorities as necessary

The likely salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
