As a Subject Matter Expert supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Veterans Affairs (VA) and Indian Health Services (IHS), you will be trusted to work on enhancement business and revenue cycle management processes, as well as complex problem solving. This role will be based out of Falls Church, VA, but may be REMOTE.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Applying expert knowledge and experience within Military Health, specifically Defense Health Agency (DHA), Veterans Affairs (VA) and/or Indian Health Services (IHS), to create best practices, and efficiency in workflows and processes
Partnering with the government customer to proactively identify and develop opportunities
Identifying trends and providing information to decision-makers
Applying senior-level knowledge of claims and healthcare administration to create business process, quality and systems design improvements
Providing recommendations and guidance with the ability to influence planning strategies and decisions
Developing and maintaining project strategies
Developing ad-hoc whitepapers, briefs and other artifacts as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
8+ Years Claims and/or Revenue Cycle Management Experience
Complete T3 or higher Background Investigation
An understanding of claims data and payer workflow
Experience working with ASC X12, HL7 and other standards
Hands-on experience working with claims data, preferentially within Military Health
Knowledge of all related claims processing systems, claim processing rules and healthcare policy
Experience with healthcare information technology and data analytics
Ability to perform research and analysis of business processes, and the development of protocols to address issues or improvement opportunities
