General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate opportunity for a SalesForce Engineer with specific knowledge ability of creation development, design, and maintenance of SalesForce applications to support existing and future information technology activities relating to software development and other projects as they are identified.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead team of Salesforce developers for administration, configuration, customization and development within Salesforce platform as well as production support
Interact with business stakeholders and senior leaders to provide consultancy on how required business functions can be cost effectively built using Salesforce
Interact with vendors for product research and selection, design sessions and to resolve production issues
Design, develop and implement solutions for complex business problems/functions on Salesforce platform
Create technical/solution architecture diagrams and technical designs
Build data-centric applications within Salesforce.com using Force.com platform and integrate with services outside the platform
Customize and configure Salesforce.com objects, data fields, page layouts, record types, workflows, document templates, reports and dashboards.
Design/develop/maintain custom objects , and custom code using Visualforce/Apex/API
Development, testing, documentation and implementation of data mappings and associated workflows using Dell Boomi
Provide on-going support and system administration to quickly fix production issues
Function as technical lead on agile team
This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
Bachelors' Degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Business (or related field of study) and a minimum of 5 years' of directly related work experience; OR an additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of the degree
Minimum Job Requirements:
7 or more years of IT development/programming/coding professional work experience or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education.
Min. last 4 years of full time hands on experience with custom development on Salesforce platform in Sales or Service cloud
Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience
Strong organizational, analytical/problem solving and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal/written communication skills, listening skills, group interaction skills, presentation skills
Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills
High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness
Experience using Agile methodology
Salesforce.com Certified Developer will be a plus
Experience in health insurance industry
Technical experience with:
Salesforce Service Cloud
Data model for Sales/Marketing functions (lead, opportunity, account, contact, activity, product book etc)
Data architecture and databases - data definitions, DB schemas, SQLs, triggers, procedural SQL etc
Moderate to heavy technical experience with:
Salesforce Service Cloud
CTI integration with Five9 or another telephony provider
SSO with non-Salesforce applications using SAML2, OAuth
Salesforce Lightning UI
Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Salesforce Community Portal
Identity and Access Management architecture
