Job Description

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Data Scientist at GDIT. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Here, your work will have meaning and impact as you deliver your best every day.

HOW BEING A DATA SCIENTIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT?

  • Provide data related technologies and services that training providers rely on to engage with the workforce, deliver training, and make business decisions.
  • Be focused on advancing learning goals related to a range of learning formats by facilitating data collection, analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
  • Use skills in data visualization and basic analysis to assist the team with accurate analysis and presentation of learning related data in order to fulfill stakeholder’s needs and facilitate data driven decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Required Experience: 10+ years
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Experience visualizing data and creating dashboards using Tableau and Tableau Prep.
  • Experience using SQL Developer and Python programming language to script the extraction, formatting and transformation of data from a variety of sources/systems.
  • Experience identifying and obtaining datasets needed to respond to requests.
  • Experience developing user-friendly, easy to understand reports and dashboards.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to work with data and PowerPoint to create briefing decks.
  • Experience communicating (written/oral) with clients and team members.
  • Experience analyzing and visualizing data.
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s data systems as they relate to learning, foreign language acquisition and maintenance, or human resources (HR).
  • Experience working with learning data in a learning environment.
  • Experience using JIRA.
  • Location: Chantilly, VA
