Join GDIT, an experienced leader in cybersecurity solutions to federal government. We are pursuing this new opportunity and are in need of a leader with Project/Task Manager for one of our comprehensive cybersecurity programs in the national capitol area. The Project/Task Manager will primarily focus on coordination and execution of major program-wide activities for a Greenfield Commercial Solutions for Classified Systems (CSfC) solution. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, experience in IT management, service delivery, and information security with a keen interest in cybersecurity.  

  • The PM will be responsible for providing full lifecycle Project Management services for the Special Projects, from the start-up and planning through the implementation and transition to another department to conduct operations and maintenance on the deployed solution. This includes coordinating the program’s risk management processes, delivery, and action tracking. 

  • The PM must be highly organized, deadline driven with a strong attention to detail, and able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in challenging situations. This role will build on demonstrated experience working with others to develop, document, and implement processes and procedures geared towards a wide array of cybersecurity and business activities. 

  • The PM will lead the daily execution of project management functions to ensure teams have clear authority, resources, and support capability to deliver on customer expectations and contract requirements.  Key areas of responsibility will focus on ensuring well-defined processes and procedures, overseeing quality control, establishing measurement methodologies and acceptable performance standards.

  • The PM must demonstrate an exceptional work ethic and excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work with multiple stakeholders, often with differences in priorities, to establish clear, attainable solutions and project plans to achieve intended outcomes. The PM must be able to collaborate with different groups to align priorities and resources by drawing upon shared values and organizational commitment. 


  • Serve as the Project Manager for the Department’s Commercial Solutions for Classified Systems (CSfC) solution
  • Manage a matrixed team, scope, schedule, budget, risks/issues, status reporting and customer communications to implement and deliver projects on time and budget.
  • Manage and drive PMO processes to meet the business and project management needs of the program.
  • Support the PMO with improvements, metrics, quality assurance and general analysis/reports to meet the objectives of the Program/Contract.
  • Ensuring achievement of contract objectives and deliverables.
  • Maintenance of risk and issue management processes.
  • Inventory Management (IT Assets and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE))
  • Developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures
  • Performance measurement

Required Qualifications

  • BS in relevant field (e.g. business, criminology, cybersecurity information systems, or engineering)
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program support activities including: performance management, recruiting, quality control, process development, and financial management.
  • Experience in performance measurement, developing effective measures, and
  • Candidate must have Project Management (PM) experience in managing medium to complex projects across multiple and matrixed teams.
  • Develops project schedules to meet project requirements and determining resource requirements.
  • Communicate any issues, problems, or additional information to project managers and project stakeholders and recommend solutions.  
  • Monitor and evaluate project timeline and activity and report on progress to project managers.
  • Possess excellent process, organization, analytical and communication skills.
  • Current Interim Secret. Top Secret/Secret Clearance preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-7 Years in program execution
  • Knowledge of the customization of Commercial Solutions for Classified, CSfC
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Scrum Master certification (CSM) certification
  • Security+ or CISSP certification 
  • Knowledge of various System Design Life Cycle Models, including waterfall and agile development methodologies.
  • U.S. Department of State experience
  • A background in organizational change, IT Service Management, and leadership development is a plus.
