CSRA State and Local Solutions LLC has an opening for the position of Systems Administrator Advisor (Ref# SAA54SD).

Work Location:  327 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY  12144.

Job Duties:  Responsible for systems environment support including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.  Provide troubleshooting support for system hardware and software issues that are highly difficult in scope.  Responsible for environment maintenance and upgrades, performance monitoring and reporting, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.  Administer a wide variety of middleware components in a healthcare/Medicaid/Health Exchange 24/7/365 high availability client environment, setting technical direction for those environments.  Provide production support to include monitoring, troubleshooting, and triage.  Install patches associated with JBoss and Apache/Tomcat upgrades and updates.  Package, deploy applications, migrate, performance tune, troubleshoot, and resolve application services, maintain security, and automate routine procedures through scripting.  Monitor critical systems/systems processes and problem resolution/escalations of application, data networking, and system management issues.  Deploy applications through DEV, TEST, and PROD environments including server builds.  Responsible for environment setup, developing implementation plans for basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.  Install, configure, and maintain the WebSphere, JBoss, and Apache/Tomcat family of products.  Install and configure monitoring tools such as IBM ITCAM, CA Wily Introscope, Splunk, and HP SiteScope.  Responsible for system architecture vision and strategy, developing advanced technical solutions for the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.  Provide interpretation to systems matters that are highly complex in nature.  Create and maintain support documents for shift support personnel to monitor and troubleshoot production issues.  Install, configure, and administer application servers and web servers that host intranet/internet facing Java/J2EE applications server setup and management, infrastructure, and environment migrations.  Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication, and failover and install and test upgrades and patches.  Use of WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, Apache, Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), MuleSoft, Splunk, Log Analyzer, OpenText, Cognos, Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Python, DB2, Oracle, Linux, UNIX, AIX, and Windows.

Requirements:  This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, CIS, MIS, or a related field. Plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years in a related occupation including WebSphere Administrator or related experience.  Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience.  Position requires 4 years of experience with setting technical direction for a healthcare/Medicaid/Health Exchange 24/7/365 high availability environment; administration of IBM WebSphere Application Server on multiple platforms; deployment, troubleshooting & production support; Java, J2EE, Splunk, DB2, Oracle, AIX, and Linux.  Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein.  40hrs/week.
