General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a DevSecOps Architect that will work across our client organization to deliver Cloud infrastructure managed services aligned with business capability delivery, with a focus on providing Cloud 24/7/365 IT services. The candidate must have experience with cloud technologies, migrations from On-premise to cloud solutions, outsourced managed services management and working with a variety of third parties to provide end-to-end IT services for our client’s end users.
The DevSecOps Architect has an established record of DevOps organizational transformation and cloud adoption with enterprise level customers. The DevOps practitioner must have technical depth across the Full DevOps Spectrum along with leading and advising client stakeholders, collaborating with the client to lead enterprise cloud-based DevOps transformations, and actively practice and recommend the latest DevOps industry standards. The Architect will work with a diverse team supporting multiple stakeholders, often with differences in priorities, to establish clear, attainable solutions to business capability delivery using DevSec best practices. Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with excellent communication skills, both oral and written along with analytical skills to troubleshoot issues. Must be able to apply intensive and diverse knowledge to problems and make independent decisions. Must be a team player able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other members of the project team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a client focus. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Work collaboratively with our client to design, architect and implement next generation system architecture and automation solutions
Implement, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Development CI/CD) environments
Define, design, and implement DevOps solutions which includes reference architectures, estimates, and costing
Provide technical leadership, project guidance, and business development in various technology areas
Recommend transition path of the clients infrastructure and automation business requirements into executable technology solutions
Participate in customers workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solution
Act as a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices (i.e. Containers; Docker)
Perform analysis best practices and emerging concepts in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Enterprise Security
Acts as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams and support
Define common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for mobile solutions and delivery
Review and audit of existing solution, design and system architecture
Profile and troubleshoot existing solutions
5 + Years of hands on experience in a implementing DevSecOps delivery
Experience in DevOps Solution delivery and strategy
Experience using DevSecOps support tools such as RedHat and Infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
Experience in using Automated Deployment, CI/CD Tools
Experience in and knowledge of design patterns and refactoring concepts
Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems and analysis
Bachelors Degree or equivalent training and experience in a technical field
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or experience architecting, designing and developing applications on the AWS platform.
Experience designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies.
Experience designing highly available systems that utilize load balancing and horizontal scalability.
Experience with Configuration Management platforms (e.g. Ansible)
Experience and extensive knowledge of Linux, Unix, or Citrix
Experience in the design, plan, and integration of AWS-based solutions using infrastructure as code and modern cloud-native deployment techniques (DevSec; DevSecOps)
Prior Managed Service Provider experience
ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation certification
Managing IT in an ERP –SAP/Oracle environment
Experience working in Agile teams
Agile Certified Practitioner
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree and a minimum of five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.
Active DOD Secret Clearance
Primarily remote with some travel required to client site
May be required to attend planning events or to work from a secured location

The likely salary range for this position is $88,870 - $133,304, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
