Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Analyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needs. Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time. Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards and procedures.
Duties/Task and Responsibilities:
Creates and designs advanced phases of the software development lifecycle
Creates and designs complex software systems to meet business needs
Creates and designs highly impactful models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
Creates and designs innovative software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
Utilizes comprehensive analysis of project specifications, activities, or status to create and design complex software systems
Provides comprehensive guidance on the documentation of the software or system design
May act as a consultant across multiple programs and/or contracts
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
Recognized as an industry leader in software development
Performs systems management and integration functions.
Analyzes science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to data processing systems.
Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Incorporates engineering strategies for introducing new technologies.
Develops future technology and architectural advancements to support architectural strategies, technology migrations, and integration and evolution of services, systems, and applications.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team and the ability to negotiate reasonable compromises among a diverse group of stakeholders with diverse opinions or diverging strategies
Knowledge of Federal Government and Commercial Industry best practices to include emerging cyber security capabilities and their application
Demonstrated familiarity with Agency Enterprise IT systems to include the Intelligence Community Integrated Technology Environment (IC-ITE)
Demonstrated record of good judgment and problem-solving skills necessary to make reasonable security
Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to clearly express technical and complex strategy concepts to peers and seniors
Team and mission-oriented self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically challenging area; ability to anticipate and manage changes or problems; assess impacts and make sound recommendations
Strong desire to utilize new technology to meet mission needs, quickly research new technology, and derive larger themes from disruptive technology
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 15+ years of experience
Certs: Cloud Architect or Developer certification
