Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks
Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc
Provide Tier 1 & tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and potential resolution of problem
Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and customers
Manage Windows operating systems, to include VMware Servers
Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof or escalate to next level solver group
Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Provide user support for system and application issues
Provides advice and training to end-users
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
Participate in special projects as required.
5+ years of experience required.
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
In support of the requirement, the employee must have and maintain the CompTIA Security+ CE Certification. The CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification. Also acceptable are alternative certifications.
The work environment is fast paced and requires the ability to work on multiple projects at once and the ability to reprioritize based on customer needs.
This position will be required to complete a deployment to an austere location worldwide.
Must be able to pass all pre-deployment medical requirements (medical, dental, and psychological) and be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary to be medically cleared by the USCENTCOM Clinic, or third party vendor, within a reasonable time period, as determined at the sole discretion of the company.
Experience with maintaining information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs etc)
Experience with Microsoft scripting technologies (Powershell, vBscript etc.)
Experience with NetApp storage Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory environments with an emphasis in the following areas: Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016; Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2016; Windows SharePoint 2013, 2016; Microsoft SQL 2012, 2014, 2016; Group policy deployment and design; DNS configuration; Patching and Windows update deployment; Software deployment / upgrades; Windows 10 operating system maintenance and deployments
Microsoft MCSA 2012/16, MCSE 2012/16, MCITP-EA. Additional specific certifications may be required.
The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
