CYBERSECURITY ENDPOINT ENGINEER

Our work depends on a Cybersecurity Endpoint Engineer joining our team to support Department of State activities at Rosslyn, VA. 

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Cybersecurity Endpoint Engineer supporting Department of State, you will be trusted to work on cyber innovative and future solutions. In this role, a typical day will include: 

• Collaborating with Department of State to implement Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Mobility Access (MA) Capability Package (CP)
• Developing related documentation and training materials
• Interacting with employees, vendors, and other internal technical teams to resolve technical issues
• Evaluating and managing endpoint COTS security products
• Operating and maintaining CSfC endpoint security tools like Splunk, MDM, Sysmon, and Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
• Ability to contribute to and work with a high performing team in a collaborative effort.
• Being a Subject Matter Expert for endpoint security solutions (e.g. Anti-Virus, Host Firewall, Forensics based tools, Privilege management, application whitelisting, EDR).
• Advanced knowledge of various security frameworks such as, but not limited to, security operations, incident investigations, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability awareness and security configuration management.
• Support change management tasking relative to the security policies associated with the endpoint security solutions that you support.
• Work closely with your manager to ensure tasks are executed on time.
• Ensure documentation relative to the supported endpoint security products, procedures, services, etc., are written and centrally accessible.
• Create and monitor reporting for compliance.
• Ability to understand & troubleshoot complex situations and apply solutions successfully without reducing the security posture of the company.

  WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

• Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in Cyber / Information Security field. Additional years of relevant experience and/or technology certifications may be considered in lieu of degree. This should include 2+ years of endpoint security experience.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance at time of hire
• Knowledge of customizing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC)
• Experience working at Department of State
• Experience designing & implementing endpoint security solutions (e.g. Antivirus, EDR, Application Whitelisting, Host Intrusion Prevention and Firewall, Forensic Analysis Tools, Advanced Malware Solutions, IOC Sweepers) on a global enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with endpoint security tools and working with Information Security organizations to secure and protect endpoints.
• Experience working Active Directory Group Policies for product management.
• Familiarization with endpoint anti-malware and firewall services and supporting business cases using these applications
• Experience with troubleshooting application issues using logs and other diagnosis tools
• Proficiency at working in a dynamic and disbursed team-based environment
