GDIT is seeking a QA Tester who will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating software products and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards. The Tester will develop software/systems testing procedures and conducts testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling the delivery of appropriate testing methodology, testing requirements and designs, Test Plans, test documentation, and Functional / Integration Testing and Performance testing.
  • Interacting with the customer and/or project team to gain an understanding of the application requirements and conformance criteria.
  • Defining test scope; planning deliverables for the testing activities of assigned projects; collecting, identifying, defining, and organizing detailed information related to testing requirements.
  • Writing and executing test scripts (both manual and automated).
  • Analyzing and testing through all software development lifecycle stages.
  • Participating in agile incremental delivery approach which supports incremental development of every 2 weeks.
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst and Application Developer to contribute to application development process improvement.
  • Conduct risk assessment of software changes.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination or experience and education; MBA or MS Information Science preferred, but not required

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) plus years of quality assurance experience as a manager, tester, configuration manager, or analyst, preferably in health care.
  • Three (3) years of experience and knowledge of test automation techniques and best practices including Selenium WebDriver, JMeter.
  • Knowledge of desktop tools such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project.
  • Ability to understand both business users and developers, bridging the communication gap that often occurs between them.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to quick assess priorities and react to ever changing business need.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and tight deadlines, work independently, and work in a team environment.
  • Experience working in agile development environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare and Medicare is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Unified Functional Testing (UFT) for developing and maintaining automated scripts used to do regression testing is preferred.
  • Experience with continuous integration tool (Jenkins) is preferred.
