US Army Europe is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support DCGS-A Family of Systems (FoS) server and software integration, systems maintenance, exercise and operational support, and other technical support as required for systems in support of HQ USAREUR-AF-G2 and its subordinate units in Wiesbaden, Germany. The ideal candidate has experience in the following areas:
Perform Active Directory (AD) administration.
Configuring and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
Architecting and deploying virtualization platforms using VMware technology.
Supporting Army and joint level exercises.
Provide on-site diagnostic and corrective actions. Assistance in obtaining and maintaining all related information security documentation to meet continuous monitoring and compliance criteria Authority to Connect (ATC). Perform analysis of system operations utilizing various operating systems and database management systems.
Conduct fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices.
Troubleshooting and rapidly resolving problems with little to no oversight.
Creating exceptional technical documentation and drawings.
Routine duties shall include system maintenance and administrative functions including system configuration and modification; adding, removing, and replacing hardware and software items; system startup, shut down, backup and restore; database administration and maintenance; and system user access control
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a valid DoD 8570.2 IAT II certification. Computing Environment certification or any Microsoft certification. A TS/SCI clearance. Be eligible for German TESA.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
