GDIT’s Organizational Development (OD) team drives initiatives that support the alignment of leadership, culture, team effectiveness and our enterprise strategy.  As a member of the GDIT Organizational Development (OD) team, the OD Sr Analyst supports efforts to build greater leadership and organizational capacity with key focus on support for building our leadership alignment and capacity. In this role, the ideal candidate actively delivers outstanding customer service and serves as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. 

Our ideal candidate will have strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, a passion for improving individual and organizational performance, and experience in supporting and delivering initiatives in the areas of organizational development, change management, business strategy or other related OD areas.  He/She must have a highly collaborative work style and effective interpersonal skills to help build trusted relationships.  The OD Sr Analyst is curious, self-aware and willing to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:
  • Support GDIT OD efforts related to the organizational strategy and operational priorities
  • Co-design and co-facilitate working groups, as needed, to support OD projects including focus groups, sprint team efforts for various initiatives, leadership sessions and other OD efforts as needed
  • Contribute to other OD initiatives including, but not limited to a team framework, hybrid work guidance, change management, strategy, meeting design and co-facilitation
  • Work closely with other members of the OD team to help develop solutions and provide consultative guidance to leaders and HR colleagues on OD related topics
  • Effectively interface with our senior leaders including the executive leadership team, as needed for leadership sessions or events; handling confidential information with discretion
  • Contribute to OD efforts as needed such as team effectiveness sessions, focus groups, team alignment sessions, survey development, change management efforts and analysis with the goal of understanding challenges, analyzing issues, resolving conflicts, exploring and implementing solutions
  • Partner with other HR Centers of Excellence to integrate OD initiatives into other HR activities
  • Infuse best practices and research to further enhance the OD initiatives and continue to adapt our approach as a function
  • Apply business acumen to creating artifacts that support the company enterprise strategy and associated initiatives
  • Co-facilitate meetings/sessions to further develop facilitation skills both virtually and in-person
  • Contribute as needed to the Organizational Development team on other activities as identified

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or related field and at least 5 years of relevant progressive professional experience
  • HR Experience aligned to OD or talent management in large scale environments
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • succession planning
    • change management initiatives
    • business analysis or strategic planning
    • employee engagement initiatives
    • learning and development
    • human capital consulting
  • Ability to master technology tools to implement processes
  • Excellent verbal and proactive communications; provide information on a timely basis and raise concerns or issues with urgency and transparency
  • Strong, professional communication in all forms of communications; email, verbal, PowerPoint and MS Word documents
  • Experience and comfort in presenting virtually and facilitating virtual meetings in Zoom and MS Teams
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Experience in presenting ideas, approaches and processes to various leadership levels
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills: listening, straightforwardness, rapport-building, trust, compassion, humility
  • Understanding of and curiosity to expand business acumen
  • Sense of urgency and initiative and ability to prioritize in a fast-changing environment
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Preferred:

  • Familiar with assessment tools such as Myers-Briggs, DiSC, Strength Finder or another leadership/team assessment
  • Master’s Degree in OD or related field
  • Understanding of enterprise software, particularly HRIS and other Talent Management technologies
