At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Market Lead Advisor supporting AT& Generator, you will be responsible for a large subset of wireless projects within a geographic market or region. These projects typically involve turn-key site development services to build or modify wireless networks. . In this role, a typical day will include:


Position Responsibilities:

  • Achieve measurable results and report against financial and non-financial performance metrics within the market
    • Metrics typically include: schedule adherence, profit & loss, quality, customer satisfaction, and employee development
    • Total portfolio value will typically range from $5M - $10M annually
  • Hire, develop, and lead a project team
    • Market teams will typically consist of 10 – 15 personnel
    • Coach and mentor subordinates to establish project plans, set project goals, evaluate the performance of the project/market team and make adjustments as needed
  • Serve as the primary customer point of interface within the market
    • Be a subject matter expert on all facets of the site development process
    • Manage customer expectations and maintain constant contact with the customer at several levels to solicit feedback, resolve issues, and ultimately achieve customer satisfaction through proactive communications
    • Ensure the project scope is clearly defined and understood to avoid scope creep and minimize changes
  • Establish and maintain a pool of qualified sub-contractors
    • Ensure sufficient sub-contractor resources are available at all times to meet build plan objectives
    • Manage sub-contractor scope issues and change control processes




Bachelors degree. Related experience will be accepted in lieu of degree. 


8+ of management experience in the telecommunications


Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate significant expertise and/or experience managing large-scale wireless program deployments in a leadership capacity.


Areas of emphasis include:

  • Project Planning, Internal & External Resource Planning and Leadership
  • Scope Development and Understanding of Contract Documents
  • Strong Negotiation Skills with Sub-Contractors and Customers
  • In-Depth Understanding of Project Budgeting and Cost Accounting Methodologies
  • Experience Leading a Large Team of Site Acquisition and Construction Personnel
  • Intimate Knowledge of Wireless Deployment Methodologies and Processes within the Region to Include:
    • Unique Leasing, Zoning, Permitting Requirements / Processes
    • Unique Construction Processes
  • Risk Management / Mitigation and Creative Problem Solving Skills
  • Extensive Experience with Network Upgrades and/or Overlays: CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, WiMax, Generator Installations
  • Basic Understanding of Various RF Configurations, MW Backhaul and Installations, and Fiber Backhaul and Installations
Master's degree and/or PMP Certification is a plus.
