Job Description
Secure and expertly apply the latest technologies to advance the mission as a Systems Administrator with GDIT. Your work in enterprise IT will help our clients overcome evolving demands and missions. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Systems Administrator, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Systems Administrator joining our team to support JSP-ETM activities at the Pentagon.
How A Systems Administrator Will Make an Impact:
Troubleshoot accounts for users and applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance monitoring tools.
Manage COTS products and coordinate with senior engineers.
Administers various EMS applications that supports Engineering, Operations, and Security departments.
Provides application maintenance patching, pilot testing, software upgrades, and deployment support of new software baselines for the Production environment.
Serves as a liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Competent to work at a technical level on all phases of application administration activities.
Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through.
Excellent attention to detail.
Develops and maintain documentation such as SOPs on existing and new applications.
What you will need to Succeed:
Certification, technical training or work / military experience; commensurate with an associate degree in computer science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Active Security+ CE Certification (or higher) at time of hire.
Computational certification (similar to Network+)
Active Top Secret clearance at the time of hire (with eligible for SCI Security Clearance)
3+ years of experience in systems engineering, administration, and analysis.
Working knowledge and hands-on experience with:
Open LDAP
RSA SecurID
Red Hat Linux, and Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2020 operating systems
Single Sign On (SSO) Portal tool integration and administration
VMWare / Hypervisor
Remedy Ticketing System
Work Requirements
