GDIT is seeking a Mid-level Communication Strategist to join our team.
Contract requires US Citizenship and candidate must be able to obtain a CBP Public Trust.

Provide strategic executive communications and organizational strategy support to a client for both internal and external audiences. Develop compelling content focused on employee engagement and workforce resilience. Identify and propose solutions that will accurately convey key messages and themes to all stakeholders. You will seek information and knowledge to develop and produce effective content; and plan and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness and cultivate relationships with partners and other relevant organizations
Articulate goals and objectives and effectively translate them into relevant strategies and messages, and maintain continuity of key documents supporting priorities, and strategic decisions.
Design a communication approach and develop products and vehicles. Implement a communication plan. Evaluate plans and make recommendations, as needed.
Leverage best practice strategic planning principles, theories, and methodologies to advise on and guide organizational vision, organizational transformation, and change management initiatives.
Draft and edit internal and enterprise-wide news and information to inform the clients workforce, including regular newsletters, announcements, leadership messages, and articles.
Develop and manage content for the clients web site, including blog posts, articles, and leadership messages and create collateral content, as needed.
Coordinate, publicize, and host periodic events, including brown bags or town hall meetings to highlight programs and initiatives of importance to the client and its workforce.
Perform a data collection method to include visualizing data and communicating the meaning of the results to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with creating executive communication strategies and materials, including speechwriting, presentation development, talking points, and managing strategic engagements on behalf of senior executive leaders.
Experience with leading and facilitating groups, making presentations, and working with senior leadership teams.
Experience as a primary author of mission and vision statements, policy or requirements statements or documents, or operating concepts.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member.
Ability to meet schedules and timelines consistently.
Experience in SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Publisher, MS Project, Adobe InDesign.
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
Basic Qualifications: BA or BS degree or MA or MS, with 5+ years of experience.
Nice If You Have:
Experience with non-technical writing, including attention to detail.
Experience with conducting problem identification, analysis, including research or information gathering, and identifying recommendations or resolutions under tight deadlines and time constraints.
Possession of excellent organizational and client service skills.
Current U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI Clearance or Top Secret/Secret Clearance preferred or ability to obtain one.
