GDIT is seeking Project / Production Managers in support of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) training center learning initiatives located in the following regions: Capital & Northeast (Fort Belvoir, VA), West (San Diego, CA), Midwest (Kettering, OH), and South (Huntsville, AL).


Qualifications include providing oversight for training product development coordinating between the regions and supporting resources on behalf of the government and DAU. The candidate will oversee the production tasks as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the assigned work including planning, organizing, staffing, directing, integrating, and controlling activities necessary for all tasks to meet schedule, and performance requirements. The candidate will manage day-to-day operations including customer interaction, administrative functions, assessing risks, identifying assumptions, and resolving interpersonal conflicts. Responsible for the duties, tasks, and activities required to make the project successful.

Duties include:

·         Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work and deliverables.

·         Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors.

·         Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, tasks, and solve problems.

·         Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.

·         Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules and other program documents.

·         Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to Program Manager and regional Director as required.

·         Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.

Experience and education requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred. PMP certification required.

·         Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience as Project/task Manager for courseware development or training related programs.

·         Strong project management skills and abilities; including experience in scheduling, staffing, project monitoring, and risk management.

·         Excellent relationship builder with demonstrated ability to team across functions and businesses

·         Strong customer relationship skills

·         Strong attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Effective MS Office skills to include MS Project

·         Must be available to travel on occasion domestically (no more than 10%)
