The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of business process definition with an emphasis on agile software development. The Program Coordinator/Analyst will work closely with VBA stakeholders to capture program reporting requirements and key metrics to support the desired business outcomes. The POI program will implement VBA pension rules and processes to produce definitive outcomes for each pension claim evaluated. This candidate will oversee in all facets of interaction between the program management team and VBA stakeholders for a pension automation managed service. The candidate will be responsible for assembling reports and metrics to meet the customer success factors and quality thresholds for pension claims processing. In this capacity, you will help discover critical elements for pension automation and communicate them effectively to a wide audience. Your contributions and communications skills will be vital to providing a positive, high quality user experience to our nation’s veterans. 

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Program Coordinator/Analyst supporting VBA, you will become a core team member of the POI PMO. You will serve as a coordinator to support multiple team interactions to achieve the desired pension optimization business outcomes. The primary responsibility will be to integrate the needs of the projects as well as the needs of several different VBA stakeholders to meet the milestone objectives for pension automation. You will be responsible for supporting the team to prepare a Pension Automation Roadmap within the first 45 days of task order award, assemble a team of skilled technical and functional resources, define program risks and mitigation, establish both communications and change management plans. This position will be remote with limited support required in vendor facilities and/or a government site.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in analyzing and documenting client's business objectives reporting requirements.
  • Assists in capturing and defining business processes; assists in formulating recommendations to improve and support business activities.
  • Assists in creating delivery processes that a repeatable aggregating data and metrics from multiple sources.
  • Assists in developing and modifying program documentation to meet client needs and explore potential solutions.
  • Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried through phases of project.
  • Support Product Owners in their management of requirements and product features.
  • Assist with the management of requirements and collaboration sessions.
  • Assist in the research and assessment of business goals, objectives and needs to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
  • Assists Program Managers and Technical Teams in defining a multiple meeting cadences with clearly defined attendees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related experience
  • 3+ years business process / related analysis experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development life-cycle methodologies
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft administration and productivity tools
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience serving as a BPA for a large software automation program
  • Professional Agile certification
  • Previous Department of Veterans Affairs experience or Federal Contracting experience
  • Active VA access including assigned CAG and PIV
  • Demonstrated strong multiplexing skills and the ability to dynamically alter tasking priorities

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
