Our work depends on a SharePoint Administrator joining our team to support the Maryland Department of IT (DoIT) in the Annapolis, MD area.
At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a SharePoint Administrator you will be trusted to configure and maintain a SharePoint environment supporting multiple government agencies, and to assist those agencies’ users with their SharePoint site needs.
In this role, a typical day you will:
Administer the availability, security and maintenance of the SharePoint platform
Collaborate with DoIT Infrastructure and Network teams to troubleshoot Platform issues
Respond to requests for training and/or technical support for Agency SharePoint users and site developers
Assist users to create SharePoint site content for both intranet and internet websites and collaboration portals in response to customer requests for assistance
Participate in planning for and executing on Continuity of Operations and Disaster Recovery plans
Backup, archive and restore SharePoint content
Participate in estimating project work and report out on risks, status and issues
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
5 years’ experience in a technology related discipline
At least 3 years’ experience performing system administration of SharePoint
Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
Microsoft SharePoint Administration Certification in multiple SharePoint versions, preferably SharePoint 2013 and newer
CompTIA A+ Certification
