Assists in the completion of engineering tasks. Individual will conduct performance analyses of radar systems, support trade studies, and develop requirements for the Missile Defense Agency.  Individual develop and execute medium-to-high fidelity, object-oriented MATLAB models and simulations (M&S) which include sensing phenomenology, signal processing, detection, tracking, and discrimination functionalities.  Individual will provide subject matter expertise into radar systems and coordinate analysis activities and products with functional group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks.   The individual will document analysis results in reports and briefings to be presented to the Missile Defense National Team (MDNT) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Individual must have a strong technical background in radar system functionalities, including scheduling, signal processing, detection, tracking, and discrimination.  Individual must have experience with algorithm analysis, algorithm development, and/or architecting radar models and simulations using MATLAB.   Individual must have the ability and willingness to learn new physical and mathematical concepts.  Individual must possess good communication skills and is capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 0+ years of experience. Detailed knowledge of the AN/TPY-2, SBX, and LRDR missile defense radar systems.   Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) highly desired.  Analysis experience in aspects of the Ballistic missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control (FOM, GFC), C2BMC, BMDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, counter-countermeasures, or threats).  A basic understanding of performance parameters, technical performance measures, methods and techniques definition, sensors, missiles, interceptors, detection/tracking, or Command and Control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.) analysis.  Experience with configuration management software such as TortoiseSVN.  Experience with object-oriented programming.  Individual with demonstrated team leadership experience.
