Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult mechanical engineering problems.
Provides moderate to advanced diagnostic solutions by measuring, maintaining, and modifying mechanical systems, devices, and engines to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with multiple functional departments and product suppliers.
Develops moderate to advanced testing processes and performs testing and validation of new and existing designs/systems.
Write and present highly complex reports, documentation and designs.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant mechanical engineering as assigned.
Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced mechanical engineering personnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS Mechanical Engineering, 3 to 5+ years of experience, possesses or has the ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with hardware design, R&D and manufacturing, Knowledge of JIRA or Confluence, Experience with VME/VPX products and design, familiar with interface protocols (RS232,RS435, Profibus, TCPIP, Ethernet) experience with embedded CPUs
