Property Administrator personnel shall support activities associated with initiating, documenting, and maintaining the processes, systems, procedures, records, and methodologies necessary for effective and efficient control of Government-accountable Property, Contractor-accountable Property, and Non-accountable Property. This includes:
Creating and maintaining records for all property accountable to the contract in the government approved property management system and verifying the integrity of property records to manage the risk associated with loss, damage, and destruction of property.
Periodically performing, recording, and reporting on physical inventories. Supporting government property audits.
Ensuring that all property transactions are properly authorized, tracked, and reported. Providing inventory reports as needed.
Verifying that all recorded property is property accounted for and its actual asset details and location matches the property records. Reconcile any discrepancies between the physical property and property records.
Supporting property transfer and/or shipping transactions to include packing, crating, preparation of shipment, and handling services of all contract accountable property and materials. Completing necessary reporting documents for government property, including receipts of shipped/received hardware, providing notification of status, and maintaining an audit trail for all transactions.
Ensuring timely receipt, acquisition, identification, documentation, maintenance, inventory, movement, and storage of property. This includes making sure property is accurately bar coded and tracked in the appropriate property management system.
Identifying unused or excess property as well as material in need of repair or rehabilitation. Ensuring proper disposition of obsolete and excess assets.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of property experience
Experience with SAP and/or WASP Asset Management Software is desired, but not required.
