Job Description:

  • Provides leadership and management oversight to a variety of engineering work centers, project managers and a development, security and operations work center. 
  • Ensures consistent and professional delivery of quality services and timely responses to requests for services and support.
  • Oversees the architecture of highly complex, global solutions across the appropriate engineering environments to meet business requirements or enhance performance.
  • Provides escalated, highly complex technical support to customers by investigating and resolving systems-related matters of significance; provides support telephonically and/or electronically.
  • Oversees, plans and conducts the technical aspects of large, complex projects; coordinates the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects.
  • Provides complex technical consultation on current and proposed systems to other organizations and clients.
  • Plan, conduct and oversee the technical aspects of projects; coordinates the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer/Chief Architect on the software/hardware lifecycle roadmap to ensure consistency with major new engineering projects.
  • Develops innovative cost-efficient solutions for improved warfighter IT performance/operations.
  • Provides oversight for identifying, assessing and controlling risks, identifying threats to assets, projects, financials and evaluating vulnerabilities associated with risks in all aspects of engineering projects.
  • Manages major Cost-Plus Incentive Fee, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Firm Fixed Price, and Level of Effort engineering projects locally and remote.
  • Provides project management support delivering quality products and services while meeting budget, quality and schedule commitments.
  • Ensures all report documents are complete showing measurements of effectiveness, cost savings and team performance.
  • Trains, mentors and motivates staff to meet individual, team and contractual obligations and thresholds while ensuring individual career growth and development.
  • Establishes team goals and strategy to evolve the team towards best in class/industry standards from a performance and customer satisfaction standpoint.
  • Collaborates with strategic industry partners to evaluate new products/capabilities.
  • Prepares reports and/or makes recommendations regarding new technology to senior leadership.
  • Leads quarterly innovative forums and meetings with strategic partners.
  • Ensures budgetary guidelines were adhered to by recommending complex systems investments to management and customers. 
  • Ensures incorporation of best practices based on industry and organizational standards.
  • Reviews and recommends highly complex systems investment(s) to management and customers based on results of independent assessment of current and future performance, stability, and systems management/life cycle issues.
  • Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and provides management overview.
  • Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of highly complex system requirements and problems.
  • Develops training tools and documentation; oversees implementation of same.
  • Reviews literature, patents and current practices to support business requirements and/or new industry technology.
  • Reviews cost analyses and vendor comparison reports to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: 9 years of related IT Project Management

Required Certification: PMP Certification

Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

Location: Omaha, NE
