Responsible for strengthening the defensive posture and cyber defense operational readiness of an IT Enterprise, our Enterprise Cyber Network Defense (ECND) program defends and protects Government assets from external Cyber Security attacks and Insider Threats that can potentially cause or create data, systems, networks, and personnel vulnerabilities.

GDIT is looking for a Cyber Network Defense (CND) Operations Manager responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day CND operational management and focused continuous improvement, resulting in outstanding customer service.

Functional responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to team members and colleagues
  • Provide oversight and perform forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence.
  • Ensure the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.
  • Identify network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators, and coordinates with other government agencies to record and report incidents.
  • Manage exacting schedules for CND Analyst across the Detect, Response, Defense Countermeasures, and Fusion functional areas.  
  • Ensure urgent technical and complicated support issues are addressed expeditiously.
  • Assist in the development/submission of recurring operation reports and contract deliverables.
  • Analyze recurring performance reports to ensure service level agreements are met and identify areas for improvement.
  • Directly interface and maintain good professional relationships with key government leads and other stakeholders who are directly and indirectly involved with the CND program.
  • Facilitate communication and problem solving support across cross-functional teams/departments and provide information efficiently to all management levels on outstanding issues, project activities, and progress.
  • Identify and close performance gaps, analyze trends, and manage performance of the team.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Ensure all operational documents are reviewed for clarity, presentation, organization, and style that is suitability to the prospective audience and in conformance to published standards.
  • Expand job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal relations, and participating in professional organizations where applicable.
  • Provide performance reviews, goal setting, and other personnel management activities.
  • Delegate certain tasks and responsibilities accordingly to meet organizational requirements.
  • Perform staffing actions to maintain adequate manning levels.
  • Approved DoD Baseline certification.

BA/BS + 8 years of experience or a combination of: (Education Degree from an Accredited Institute in an Area Applicable to the position)
