Job Description

The GDIT Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization is seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Systems Advisor with experience working with inventory management, warehousing and ERP systems to join our Operations team. GDIT SCM acquires goods and services on behalf of the company, develops supply chain strategy, builds strategic supplier relationships, manages supplier risk, and influences the downstream lifecycle.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment on the Supply Chain Management Systems and Operations team and should be able to support multiple responsibilities simultaneously in support of our operational program and supply chain stakeholders inventory management, warehousing and logistics requirements. This team supports operational and supply chain stakeholders with systems solutions and support helping users define strategies and vision, design and implementation of solutions that align with business objectives and have a measurable impact on growth. For our internal customers, our Supply Chain Operations and Systems team reduces cost and supports innovation at the enterprise level by managing business requirements and leading the functional design, prototyping and process design stages of Oracle Cloud Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory, Quality and Order Management implementations.


HOW A SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Fusion Cloud inventory management modules
  • Collaborate with program level logistics teams to define and manage system-based inventory, warehousing and logistics solutions
  • Lead program customers and team members in collaboration sessions to drive towards the proper ERP, inventory and warehouse management solution.
  • Contribute to the functional designs, prototyping and process design states of implementations (including scenario design, flow mapping)
  • Supporting configurations, customization, reports and interfaces, and testing
  • Act as a liaison between users and IT throughout implementation
  • Develop and provide user training; maintain training guides and job aids
  • Provide post-implementation support; troubleshoot user and performance issues
  • Participate in quarterly release and enhancement testing to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain product catalogs
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelors degree; In lieu of degree 14+ years of experience with Supply Chain Logistics and Inventory Management required.
  • Required Experience: 10+ years of experience with Supply Chain Logistics and Inventory Management. 3+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Products/Supply Planning/Inventory Management/Order Management. 2+ years of experience with warehouse management systems such as Blue Yonder.
  • Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, MS Visio
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Inventory management experience in a large enterprise environment. Experience collaborating with stakeholders on business process enhancements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment. Strong presentation skills. Excellent oral and written communication. Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments. Teamwork abilities with experience leading a planning, solutioning and development team.
  • Preferred Skills: Familiarity with the Sunflower Asset Management system is a plus.
