The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) and Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A) have a requirement for Secure Enterprise IT Systems, Services, & Support for the continued operations and maintenance, and evolution of the secure enterprise networks – the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN) – to maintain and manage secure classified information sharing among all DHS Components, its Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and private sector stakeholders in support of its classified enterprise operations.
May manage the development of policies and procedures and ensures their conformance with the departments goals and company/customer objectives
Experience organizing, directing, and managing operations and maintenance IT network support functions involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.
Experience providing detailed technical leadership to staff involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.
Manages the development and administration of schedule and performance requirements
Manages and prioritizes information systems needs and analyzes project costs and feasibility
Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends and then plans and advises for implementation
Oversees ordering process to meet objectives effectively and economically
May manage vendor relationships and billing reconciliations
Provides guidance and solutions to ensure the information systems needs align with the strategic departmental initiatives
SCOPE OF ROLE: Manages a medium to large team or department of multiple disciplines. Medium to High Complexity. Direct reports are typically exempt and often include other people managers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant experience is required.
Certification in Project Management from a recognized credentialing agency (e.g., PMP from the PMI)
