At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Help Desk/Support Specialist supporting the customer, you will be trusted as the first point of contact of Tier 1 support for the users who call the Service Desk. In this role, a typical day will include:
Escalate unresolved problem/issues/requests to the proper tier 3 and 3 support team,
Troubleshoot basic end user issues on various software applications, hardware, network and provide basic desktop support,
Walk the customer through the problem-solving process,
Accurately log all Service Desk tickets using the defined tracking software, an
Follow-up and update customer status and information
Provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.
Education: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
8+ years related experience.
Technical Skills: Experience as a service desk/help desk technician, and familiarity with service delivery tools.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications: Basic IT troubleshooting, account provisioning, active directory, and outlook knowledge.
