Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT (GDIT) and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. The Submarine Sail Antenna program is seeking a Technical Editor to join us in Philadelphia, PA.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, tracking, editing, and coordinating the development of technical documentation (i.e. Technical Manuals, Allowance Parts List (APL), Drawings, etc.) for military and/or scientific uses.

  • Playing a big role in the development and review technical documentation related to submarine programs life cycle support.

  • Coordinating with engineering staff to review material for obsolescence and changes.

  • Providing leadership briefs to internal and external organizations.

  • Managing engineering configurations for shipboard technical installations.


  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years experience with the development of technical documentation for life cycle support.

  • Experience coordination with program leads and staff on program execution.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with the government ILS systems such as ICAPS, CDMD-OA, drawing reviews (ASME Y14 standards), technical writing experience
