GDIT TSS is looking for a Transition Project Manager who will be located or relocate to the state of Louisiana to lead a team of Project/Transition Managers. In this position, the candidate:
Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or task(s).
Typically supervises assigned staff, may include subordinate supervisors and managers.
Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Responsible for scope, cost, schedule, and performance of assigned project or task(s). Manages or directs resources required to perform assigned project or task(s).
Develops project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
Interact with vendors and customers
Manages risk mitigation
Develop BOE (basis of estimate) to support proposals and transition efforts
Attends customer meetings and serves as primary client liaison.
Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
May have other projects as assigned
BA/BS or relevant work experience
Be located or relocate to the state of Louisiana
Minimum 5 years experience in IT (Information Technology) transition/project management in a supervisory role
Experience building transition plans including infrastructure/application support models, change management.
Experience leading and training a diverse team of transition leads
MS Project, EXCEL, PowerPoint mastery
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work on multiple projects
Excellent Communication skills
